“Before purchasing one, consider the fanny pack’s materials. “If you’re walking, hiking or running outdoors, it's best to consider a more durable material such as nylon,” says Maria Casabianca, personal stylist of Styled By Maria. “For a dressier look, choose a fanny pack in leather or a fun fabric.” That said, opting for a waterproof fanny pack can be a great idea in general, but it may be especially important if you think you may encounter inclement weather while wearing it. Recycled polyester, neoprene and canvas are other quality materials, too”.
